Ulterior motives for the secrecy of US responses
The United States has asked Russia to keep secret its response to our security proposals.

What are the hidden motives of this request?

In my opinion , the motives are as follows:

1. Preservation of the former hegemonic image of the United States and disinformation inertia, which must be preserved until the world learns about the real state of things. And the military artificial hysteria, inflated by the West, has already gained momentum and they want to prolong these momentum at a high level as long as possible.

2. Everything should not look like capitulation to Russia. NATO will continue to be formally present in these countries. This may allow you to save face, the costs of the continued presence of NATO ground forces, for example in the Baltic States, can be hung on the Balts themselves. However, they will not be able to afford such expenses. And they can withdraw from NATO themselves.

2. The deliberate delay in negotiations is due to the expectation of warm weather in Europe and a drop in gas demand.

3. The West is whipping up military hysteria, which, having an artificially long-term character, can form the right mood of the world community and international actors in order to justify the escalation of NATO in Europe.

Of course, this should not be made public either in the United States or in Russia. Not only is it important for the United States to preserve its image, but we, apparently, should adhere to secrecy at the official level.
